1. ATTENDANCE MAKE-UP WORK:
As you are all aware, there is an assignment due today for those of you who missed colloquium on April 1. If you are planning to email it, please send it to Elizabeth (elizb@wam.umd.edu). If you have already emailed it to Steve, please send a copy to Elizabeth as well. There is another assignment due for those of you who missed April 8. It is due next Wednesday.

2. TEN MORE DOLLARS TIL WE HIT $100:
We are proud to announce that Advocates for Children has already raised $89.92 and has earned the #1 seed in the upcoming softball tournament. We don't plan on stopping there, however. As the founding group of this tournament, Advocates is looking to make a strong statement to the other programs by raising $100 for charity from their student body ($200 total including matching funds). As you all know, we are representing Project Children, and hopefully our Advocates team will garner first, second, or third in the tournament and be able to get a contribution to them. So far, fifteen players are signed up to play on the Advocates team, with a few spots left if anyone is interested. Donations can be made in class, dropped off in the Advocates Office, or given to Kevin. If you are interested in playing or helping Kevin in running the tournament that day (Saturday, April 25 from 10 am - 6 pm), please contact him (x49672, bax@wam.umd.edu).

3. SHAI MIRANDA VERTER MEMORIAL TOY DRIVE:
Toys are being collected for the Children's Hospital oncology ward. You can donate toys for these children in the Student Union, and Cumberland and Centreville Halls, from April 13 through April 24. If you would like to make a monetary donation, please send it to the Advocates for Children Office in 1120 Cumberland.

4. ANNUAL ADVOCATES PICNIC:
The 3rd annual ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN picnic will be held on Wednesday, May 6, directly following colloquium. The picnic will be held at Steve's house, and you are all invited and encouraged to attend! Transportation will be provided, either by van or by your fellow students. We will pass around a sign up sheet next week, so please consider before then whether or not you will be able to attend, and if you would be able to drive. We will also ask for volunteers to help prepare and set up on May 6, from about noon till 2:00. Thanks, and hope to see you there!

5. READING IS FUNDAMENTAL!:
The Reading Is Fundamental Advocacy Group will be collecting money outside the Student Union on April 15 and 17. Please stop by and support this worthy effort. You could also give some money to any of these women whenever you see them. Thanks!

6. ROOM SELECTION:
On April 29th, Cambridge Community Floor Meetings are being held for room selection. For more information, please contact your Resident Director or ask your RA's.
