1. TOXIC CHEMICALS LECTURE - ADDITIONAL FIELD TRIP OPPORTUNITY:
Come and hear Lois Gibbs, Director of the Center of Health, Environment, and Justice, talk about toxic exposure, health risks, activism, and government response. Lecture in 0226 H.J. Patterson, Thursday, October 29, 1998 from 7:30-9:00 pm. Sponsored by the College Park Scholars Environmental Studies Program. Please Attend. It counts as 1/2 a field trip!!!

2. STUDENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE:
Members of the Advocates who are interested in serving as the program representative for this committee should contact Kevin by Friday (ext. 4-9580).

3. THE MARYLAND LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE: Nov. 7 and 8. Cost $70.
Applications must be submitted to Marie Ting by October 30th (4-7169) at mting@umdstu.umd.edu.

4. GOOD MORNING AMERICA!
Meet Carlos Arias and Mike Colson at 6:15 am Friday (10/23) between Cumberland and Cambridge Halls to walk to McKeldin where they are taping the show LIVE from UMCP. Please wear a CPS t-shirt!!!

5. BLOOD DRIVE:
There will be a blood drive in La Plata Rec Center on October 27 and 28 from 2:00-8:00. Please help make it as successful as last year. Talk to your RA.
